Course Synopsis:
Achieving investment success requires a blend of strategic approaches and informed decision-making. This course integrates three essential investment strategies—value investing, warrant trading, and portfolio diversification using ETFs, to equip participants with the tools to navigate and capitalize on various market conditions.
Participants will explore:
1. Value Investing: Discover the principles and practices of value investing, including how to identify undervalued stocks with high potential during bear markets. Learn strategies used by successful value investors to achieve superior long-term returns.
2. Warrant Trading: Unlock the potential of warrants as versatile financial instruments. This module covers everything from basic puts and calls to advanced trading strategies, enabling participants to amplify gains and hedge against market downturns effectively.
3. Portfolio Diversification Using ETFs: Understand the role of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in building a diversified portfolio. Participants will learn the fundamentals of ETFs, their benefits, and practical methods to construct a balanced and resilient investment portfolio.

Trainer's Profile: Dr. Theang Kok Foo
Dr Theang is an HRDF accredited trainer who conducts investment seminars for Malaysia’s leading financial institutions on a regular basis. His areas of expertise include portfolio management, fundamental analysis, technical analysis and market forecasting.

He is a also Certified Public Accountant in California, U.S.A, with over 30 years of experience in the financial sector. He began his career as an auditor with Ernst & Young in Washington, D.C. and is currently working as a licensed equity dealer with a major stockbroker in Malaysia.

Dr Theang obtained his PhD in Finance from Monash University Malaysia. He also has a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Delaware as well as a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
