Effective wealth management and estate planning are essential to preserving and transferring wealth in accordance with Islamic principles. This comprehensive course delves into the shariah-compliant approaches to wealth generation, preservation, and distribution, offering invaluable insights for financial advisors and individuals alike.
Participants will explore:
• Islamic Wealth Management: Learn the shariah principles and strategies for generating wealth through ethical financial instruments, maintaining positive cash flow, and mitigating risks. Understand wealth preservation techniques to build sustainable and compliant financial plans.
• Islamic Inheritance Planning: Grasp the importance of prudent estate planning to protect assets, ensure equitable wealth transfer, and safeguard legacies for future generations.
• Faraid, Divorce, and Estate Planning: Understand the rights and responsibilities within a family unit under Islamic law, particularly regarding inheritance, divorce, and estate planning. Trainer's Profile: Azman Ismail
Azman Ismail is a seasoned expert in Islamic finance and financial services with an academic foundation in Mathematics with Operational Research from the University of London. Since 1985, he has built a distinguished career spanning consultancy, Shariah advisory, and academic contributions across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Brunei, Iran, and the Philippines. He has also presented papers at international forums in Kuala Lumpur, New York, Tokyo, Singapore, Cairo, London, Milan, Taipei, and Abu Dhabi, among other global cities.
Azman was a Director for Malaysia for the Life Underwriter Training Council (LUTC), Bethesda, Maryland, USA. In academia, he served as an external lecturer for the Master in Islamic Banking and Finance (MIBF) program at the Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIiBF), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Additionally, he was a Course Consultant and Board of Studies Member at the Institute and has collaborated with the International Shari’ah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA) and ISRA Consultancy Sdn Bhd.
In Malaysia, Azman has conducted training for institutions such as the Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII), Islamic Banking and Finance Institute of Malaysia (IBFIM), PNB Investment Institute, Institut Latihan Islam Malaysia (ILIM), Akademi Percukaian Negara, Institut Latihan Kehakiman dan Perundangan Malaysia (ILKAP), and Bank Negara Malaysia, among others.
An accomplished author, he has contributed to the field by writing, translating, editing, and reviewing 13 books (15 volumes) focused on Shariah applications in contemporary finance. He is currently a Shariah advisor to several institutions in Malaysia and Singapore.
