Course Synopsis

The world of finance is changing and now is the time to invest in your future. The skillsets of investment bankers, asset managers, sales and trading professionals are all rapidly evolving and developing a skillset in Python is essential if you want to progress.

There are no pre-requisites to attend this course. This unique course offers you the opportunity to learn fundamentals of Python for investment professionals in an intuitive and easy way!
You will acquire some hands-on experience in Python coding upon successful completion of this short but intensive course.

It explores the key characteristics of this powerful and modern coding tool to solve problems in the area of investments.

Theang Kok Foo

Kok Foo is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California, U.S.A with over 25 years of experience in the financial sector. He is a seasoned financial advisor who started his career as an auditor with Ernst & Young in Washington, D.C. where he was a member in both the financial audit and computer audit team.  He joined the investment industry as an equity dealer upon his return to Malaysia in the early 1990s.   In 2003, Kok Foo was appointed as a mentor by Bank Simpanan Nasional Micro Credit program.  In 2007, he was appointed to the Board of Visitors of Hospital Kuala Lumpur by the health minister. Furthermore, Kok Foo has contributed greatly to the financial literacy education sector of the country by conducting financial seminars and workshops, specifically in the areas of accounting, finance and investment since 2008. He conducts CPE classes regularly on topics relating to economy, capital market, portfolio management and financial analysis. In addition, he has also served as guest lecturer at various local colleges and universities and helped in preparing candidates for ACCA and Real Estate Licensing Board examination.  Kok Foo pursued his higher education in the United States, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from University of Louisiana and Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Delaware.
